Now we’re going to explain how to use this program.

I developed this program based on my 25 years of experience as a teacher, musician, award-winning music producer, multiplatinum producer, and guitarist.

I organized the lessons in a way that facilitates learning, based on my extensive teaching experience. You’ll find that some lessons are very short. I like short lessons because, as they say, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” Whenever possible, I’ll break the content into small, manageable bites.

However, some lessons will be longer because they require a detailed explanation. The length of each lesson is intentional, as many subjects we’ll cover require a foundational understanding. For example, if you’ve never studied the names of the notes on the neck, it becomes very hard to learn the CAGED system or any other system.

Instead of teaching all six fingering systems at once, we’ll start with the CAGED system. This system is essential and very helpful for learning the major scale. Once you know how to visualize
